Director - Raye Hurley
In her 16th year as the Choir Director at Franklin County High School, Raye's choirs have grown to include a comprehensive music program including over 20% of the school population and including seven choral ensembles, two keyboard labs and an Individual Voice Studio class. A native of Hazard, KY, she graduated from UK in 2003 with a Bachelors of Music Education (Voice). Raye received her Masters in Education from Georgetown College in 2007 and received her Rank 1 in 2008 when she became a National Board Certified Teacher.
Raye lives in Frankfort with her husband, Brandon, and their children. They are active members in the music program at the historic First United Methodist Church where they sing and lead worship for the GNN contemporary service and serve as guest soloists for the traditional service. Raye works us hard, but makes it fun!
